Purelux Nova Pec · Engineered Oak
Premium oak. Seven and a half inches wide.
Apex is engineered oak in a 7-1/2" plank, 3/4" thick, random lengths. A 3mm sawn oak face over a cross-layered core — the construction that lets a plank this wide stay flat, and go over concrete and radiant heat where solid wood can’t.

Goes where solid can’t
The cross-layered core barely moves with humidity, so it installs over concrete, over radiant heat, and below grade — basements included. Solid wood is limited to a wooden subfloor at or above grade.
A 3mm sawn face, not a print
This is a genuine oak surface, thick enough to carry deep wire brushing and hold its texture. Grain, colour and character are the wood’s own — no two boards repeat, which no printed floor manages.
Wide boards, fewer seams
At 7-1/2" in random lengths, a room reads calm and open rather than striped. Select and better grade (AB) keeps knots and colour movement restrained. FloorScore certified.
Worth knowing: This is real wood, so it isn’t waterproof — standing water will damage it, and it’s the wrong choice for a bathroom or laundry. It wants 35–55% relative humidity year round; through an Ontario winter that usually means running a humidifier. Direct sun will shift the colour over time. Ask us what suits your subfloor →
