Solid red oak, 3/4″ thick with no core or veneer. Its open grain gives the floor more visible movement than maple or birch.

Installation is nail down, approved on, above or below grade. Boxes cover 20 sq ft in the two narrow widths and 18.7 sq ft at 4 1/4″.
